Darren Aronofsky and Brendan Fraser Team Up for The Whale

Darren Aronofsky films are already good enough, whether it be Pi, The Fountain, or Requiem for a Dream. Add in the highly anticipated return of Brendan Fraser, a once revered actor, and The Whale has audiences very excited. Fraser was one of Hollywood’s most popular actors in the late 90’s, and created some of Scrubs most heartfelt and impressive acting moments via his Ben Sullivan story arc. Fraser fled Hollywood for years after an alleged sexual assault incident documented in his interview with GQ in 2018.

Now, after a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival, the film is poised to succeed critically and in the box office. The Whale also happens to be an A24 film, the studio responsible for Uncut Gems. If anyone deserves a critically acclaimed classic after all they’ve been through it’s Brendan Fraser. It looks like we may have one in The Whale.
