r/place and The Beauty of Community

After about five days, r/place 2022 will come to an end. A place for different communities to plot space in a pixelized canvass, r/place has been a hit this week. Star Wars, Dogecoin, national pride, football supporters, video games, and more were all honored and defended by their communities this week.

For those communities that lasted the until the end, it’s an accomplishment. However, it’s also something else. It’s an example of what people can do when they come together as a community. That solidarity can go very far in this world.

Together, we are capable of standing the test of time. Together we are capable of withstanding attacks from others. Together we’ll make it and the legacy of what we did lives on.
